Best anniversary present ever

This Thursday marks mine and hubby's ninth anniversary. We had had plans to go to Valemount, BC and spend a relaxing four nights in the beautiful mountains.

Instead we're driving to Colorado so I can say goodbye to my uncle. I only found out last night that he's in hospice and is lucky if he lives out the month. I didn't expect the cancer to eat at him so quickly. He was only just diagnosed a few months ago.

As shitty as it is that our anniversary will not be relaxed and romantic, who could ask for a more cherished present than time you'll never be able to get again?

So hey, who's got two thumbs and the most amazing husband in the whole world? This girl.

Oh my gosh, She lives!

I wondered what happened to you. Just caught up on your posts. First, congrats for maintaining your weight loss. That alone is a huge accomplishment.

Second, love that husband of yours. What a sweet and loving thing to do for you. I'm really sorry about your uncle. I hate cancer. It's taken so many wonderful people from this earth way before their time. At least you'll get to spend some time with him and I know he'll love seeing you.

Take care Amber. And glad you're doing well.

That's very thoughtful of your husband, but I'm sorry to hear about your uncle.

I was just in Denver in August and highly recommend the drive up Mt. Evans for some extreme mountain beauty. It's the highest paved road in North America, and it's free.

Congrats on 9 years.
