WW say what?!

So I felt pretty nauseous when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw a gain of 2.6. But I knew it was coming. I entered my weight and recalculated points...and saw a jump of 6 pts a day! That made it even worse.

The last time I remember eating that many points a day was at least 50 lbs ago. So I adjusted them, dropped 2 or 3 off. I just can't imagine...

Now I'm going to be fighting to make sure I eat that many points in a day. When I'm working I don't get very hungry. It isn't until there's a break or after we're done for the day that I find my stomach's growling.

I don't know how this is going to go. Normally I'd give it a minimum of two - three weeks to see if I need to adjust points again, but I'm leaving for Wisconsin in three weeks and will be there for three weeks and my activity level is going to soooo drop. Even if I spend all day walking it's not going to equal the activity level at work, so I'll need to drop points while there, then add them back when I get back. I'm guessing that I won't be stabalizing until near the end of November when I'm back on a regular routine for a few weeks.

34 pts....wow....makes me a little sick just looking at it. I'm terrified! Help?

Instead of eating so many fat free foods, you can eat some regular foods instead (like regular salad dressings, etc. Add some more good fats in).

Woo! :] You're coming to Wisconsin? Us cheeseheads welcome you :]

Don't let your weigh in bring you down. Just focus on next week & you will do great!

Good Luck! :]

i always laugh to myself when people stress over eating more food lol, just seems so ironic. i know im sick in the head.

sorry bout the loss, but well, it happens.

Maybe you should train your mind to think of food as fuel. You can't start the car and have it move forward without fuel. If it runs out, it sputters and stops. Your body is the same.

Fuel your body according to the amount of movement you need. On days where you need to roadtrip, add more fuel. On days you are just puttering in town, less fuel.

Does that make sense?

not being on WW I have no idea how this whole point thing works, and I certainly can relate to travel challenges.

But I am rooting for you to make the adjustments until you go. Maybe try to drink more liquids while you work. I know diet soda pop is not the best, but the carbonation does help me feel a little less empty right before I eat.

you can do it! add some cheese to stuff or drink a glass of milk or orange juice in the morning. you will see how easy it is to add those points in, without feeling like you're eating too much.

so happy your trip is getting so close. i know you've been excited. :)

I hate the idea of eating extra food just because somebody thinks it's a good idea, Amber, but I also hate the idea of you going all day without eating. That's absolutely no good and will just set you up for failure.

I have a more routine life than you, I'm sure, but I've settled in to the idea of small healthy snacks at certain times of the day (only if I'm hungry tho). An apple, a carton of yogurt, a handful of raw almonds, a spoonful of almond butter... something small but filling. It goes a long way toward keeping me from making bad decisions at meal times, and I rarely feel like I'm depriving myself.

Good luck getting your mojo back.

Aww! That is so exciting that your mom's getting married! It's always nice to meet some fellow Wisconsinites :]

I hope you have a great trip! Where in WI are you from? I live near Milwaukee.

Thanks! :]

Wow! You're quite the mover!- I like Janesville.. It's pretty :]

How do you like Canada? I have never been, but have always wanted to go.

Haha! Well I guess the only times I've really ever been to Janesville have been for horse shows & the arena there is "beautiful". So that's basically my only impression of it. lol.

I agree- once you hit up north there are some really nice areas. We have a cabin there & I love it :]

Sorry about the gain. I always remind myself in these situations that I’m in this for the long haul, not just a few weeks or months. So I’ve learned not to beat myself up over an occasional gain. Eventually, as long as I keep my focus on eating right, it all balances out and I’m on the right track and losing again.

I have to admit the whole WW point-counting thing used to drive me crazy. :-0 It’s easier for me when I don’t do WW.

I’m sure you’ll do just fine, Amber. :-)

I just read your comment to Simone over at Infatuation. LOVED that comment. I have noticed that you always leave great comments for others. Your post are great as well, but it the way you cheer others on, or gave them a verbal spanking...lol. That tells me the kind of empathic person you are.

I don't even know what to say about eating more food. Doesn't seem right, but hell, what do I know. I can't wait to see what happens!

Just found you blog. I'm struggling with a bad weighin too and don't let it get to you. Please remember that the scale is only one way to measure successs. It is not THE ONLY WAY. Just keep making good choices where you can. Our next meal is the perfect opportunity to make a better choice. Hang in there.
